Building  with propane is getting more press than ever these days. A  clean-burning fuel, recognized by the Clean Air Act of 1990, propane has  found its way into many green initiatives. Builders who use propane in  compliance with Green Building Guidelines can earn points toward the  National Green Building Standard.

The Energy Advantage 

Propane reduces  energy costs. Propane appliances are typically far more efficient than  their electric counterparts. For example, an Energy Star–qualified  propane tankless water heater can save your customers up to 50 percent  on their energy bills, when compared with the costs of operating a  standard electric tank-style heater.

Clean Energy 

Propane gives off  less than half of the greenhouse gas emissions that electricity does,  considering that most of the nation’s electric power is fueled by  coal-fired power plants. In fact, by using propane, you can earn points  under green building programs, such as the National Green Building  Standard™ and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for  Homes.

Creating Opportunities For Upgrades 

The propane home  provides builders many opportunities to offer their clients additional  features. From grills that run off the main tank to outdoor lighting and  emergency power.

The Propane Infrastructure 

Patriot Gas will  install the tanks, handle permits, final connections, and the  all-important Gas Check safety inspections on the homes’ gas systems.

Propane During Construction Included 

Included in our  program is all of the propane you need during construction. This also  applies to the natural gas and all-electric homes you build.

Hassle Free At Closing 

When the home goes to  closing, you will present the home buyer with a Disclosure that provides  the details of our service, including the locked-in price they will pay  for gas for the next year. Most importantly to you, we’ll also provide  the price the customer can pay to purchase the tank, with no further  obligation to Patriot Gas. Although we know the home buyers will find our  offer attractive, we want to be sure they feel comfortable in their  decision.
